By paying a deposit, you’re accepting terms and conditions detailed below.
Deposit & Payments
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to book and secure your order. Without a deposit the date will not be held for longer than 24 hours. The outstanding balance is due on or before delivery/collection. No cake will be released until the outstanding balance is paid in full. Once deposit is received, you will receive a confirmation email. Payments can be made via Bank transfer, PayPal or Cash.
Quotes are carefully worked out and based upon ingredients, size and design time. Assuming a date remains free your quote will remain valid for 4 weeks.
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. If order is cancelled within 5 days of the order date, the full balance is payable. Cancellation must be made in writing, (Via letter or Email) to Bespoke Cakes by Lina, and will only take effect from the date your letter/email is received. Please note that any items ordered specifically for your bake are chargeable in addition to the deposit.
I reserve the right to cancel the booking in very unusual circumstances which fall beyond my control, (e.g. fire or ill health.) during which I will refund any money taken.
Cakes are to be collected from my premises at a prearranged time and date only.
Late pickup fees
As I am respectful of your time I appreciate customers being respectful of my time also. A late fee of £10.00 will be charged for any order not picked up within 15 minutes of your scheduled appointment time, unless prior arrangements have been made. The following fee's rate will be charged after 15 minutes:
15-30 minutes late - £10.00
30-45 minutes late - £15.00
45-60 minutes - £20.00
60 minutes and over - £35.00
Please note that if you are more than 1 hour late I may reschedule the appointment time for a later date.
It is your responsibility to read, check and sign the quote thoroughly, and add any amendments to be made in writing. Any cake ordered from a picture of a cake produced by another cake maker can only be made as my interpretation of that cake to ensure it does not copy any other cake maker’s work.
Allergies and Special Diets
It is your responsibility to advise me of any allergen risk.
Nut allergies – I can remove nuts from the recipes if requested but they are still used on premises so cakes may still contain traces of nuts.
If you have specific allergy or dietary requests please ask.
Transportation and storage
As cake is very delicate and fragile, please keep it flat and low when transporting (the boot or the passenger foot well). Never put a cake on a seat as this can be extremely unsafe and result in the cake sliding off.
Upon arrival, keep the cake in it's box and store in a cool, dry place. All cakes are best eaten within 2 days. They may last for much longer but will not be as fresh.
Upon collection I always require you to sign a disclaimer to confirm that you are happy with the cake. I can not accept any responsibility for any damage that is done after the cake has left my possession.
Your order may contain some non-edible items such as cake dowels, ribbons, flowers and more. You are responsible to remove any such items before serving.
